This type of boot and shoe sole is a carry-over from Ayyawear. We merged some of its styles into Verillas as trends changed. Leather Tabi boots have become a big part of the Verillas footwear collection. We also make our tabi soles in-house and sell them separately so that you can replace your soles as they wear out faster (every year or two) than our V-treads. How long do Verillas boots last? Decades with proper leather care and cleaning. We offer a 1-year warranty to back it up. We sell replacement soles so that a cobbler can keep your boots fresh for decades.
Are Verillas boots waterproof? They are water-resistant out of the box, but we recommend using a waterproof spray if you're fighting in the mud or stepping into deep puddles.
Can I try on Verillas Boots? Yes! We do ask you to cover return shipping, but you can try on a pair of our boots for just a couple of bucks in case you can't find us at a Virginia regional renfaire, convention, or expo to see our shop in-person.

Where can I wear Verillas Boots? Our boots are designed with everyday wear in mind. That is why we make them so durable and not 100% historically accurate. Plus, we want them to be comfortable. For the price of well-made boots like ours, we believe you should get some miles out of them.
